What is Verified Independent?
It is UpFront's reviewed label for businesses that prove independent ownership. It is not available to businesses with a reported corporate or private-equity affiliation.
What does verification cost?
Review is currently free for approved Phoenix businesses.
What information do I have to share publicly?
Your business name, address, contact information, ownership structure, and a short ownership disclosure.
What if my ownership changes?
Update your listing. We also do annual re-verification, but you should tell us if you sell, acquire, or merge.
I'm part of a corporate group. Can I still list?
Yes. UpFront is pro-transparency, not anti-corporate. A corporate-owned business can be listed clearly, but it cannot use the Verified Independent badge.
Does payment change a label?
No. Payment never changes a label, ranking, or ownership determination.
